Colbert takes on Michael Moore

This morning my friend Jason sent me this video. Steven Colbert taking on Michael Moore. It's a follow up to Moore's appearance on CNN.

Hilarious as always. Enjoy.

iPhone ringtone on my berry

The iPhone has almost everything I want. The big screen, small & thin form factor, wifi, camera, cool apps, video, photos, tunes et etc. I really don't care about the lack of a physical keyboard.

But the iPhone is missing one thing. It doesn't wireless sync with Microsoft Exchange. And that's a problem for me. MSFT Exchange is a killer app and we need alternatives.

So despite all the various iPhone temptations out there, I'm going to keep my blackberry (and hold my Apple stock position).

In the meantime, I've loaded up the iPhone ringtone on my blackberry.

Pathetic

Wii are family

We have had Xbox and PS2 for years.

Those machines only get a workout when my nephews come over. Usually Kevin destroys me or I get a break once in awhile and take him at Madden 200x.

Then we picked up the Nintendo Wii. And it's really so much fun. Last night the whole family played Wii sports (except for little James who is only 15 mos old). This thing is a really a riot. Watching Ellie play Wii Boxing is a hoot. Sophia was giving Lauren tennis tips. I wish I had taken some video. Next time.

Howard, Lindsay and howard's son are hilarious in this Wallstrip show covering Nintendo and the Wii. So funny.

SF vs SV

I found this on Brad Feld's blog this morning.

ValleyWag created a San Francisco v Silicon Valley clip to mimic the Apple v Microsoft ads.

It hilarious.

The twitter exchange is the best.

Microsoft phone

My Blackberry 8700 has served me well I guess. Sometimes it feels like I'm walking around with an old HP100LX though.

With so many phones to choose from it's hard to decide what I should get next.

It was great seeing Brad yesterday. It doesn't happen often in person but I always like hanging out with Brad. We talked about a bunch of things and at the end he gave me a quick demo of his latest mobile phone (the T-Mobile Dash). Good looking hardware. Works perfectly with Exchange. Hmm. tempting.

Michael Parekh also seems to be struggling with his next new phone.

Maybe I should just wait for the new MS oPhone :)

Wallstrip Part II

I had a nice chat with Lindsay after the super fun (and embarrassing)  blackberry dork-a-thon.
Here's a link to the video interview afterwards.

As I mentioned before the Wallstrip folks have great karma and are so nice. And they usually have much more interesting guests :)

Special thanks to Howard, Lindsay and Adam (bios) for having me on Wallstrip.

Blackberry Shoot-Out on Wallstrip

I joined Howard, Fred and Roger at Wallstrip last week for the first Wallstrip Blackberry Shoot-out. It was really fun. Howard had a lot of excuses including a sore pinky finger.

Lindsay is right when she calls this a dork-a-thon :)

Todays Wallstrip

Today's episode is really great and so much fun. If you are a dog owner than you will especially love this one.

How to Succeed by Michael Scott

NewTeeVee links to a recent Business 2.0 article on "the brightest minds in business". They quote Chad Hurley the co-founder of YouTube.

Scott I think they missed the real star interview in the Business 2.0 piece. It was from legendary manager Michael Scott. Here's an excerpt:

What's it come down to? Attitude! I teach my workers a "yes, let's get it done!" way of thinking, whereas without me they would think, "OK, I'll do it, but I'd rather just watch TV and do it later." I'm behind that. I'm helping them make life better and better, with no limits! The future is theirs and mine! I believe so much in the future that I invest exclusively in "futures." In fact, you can't invest in "pasts," they don't offer that. I've checked.

Here's the entire interview. Hilarious.
