We had a great time trick or treating tonight. We took the girls around the local neighborhood and Tim, Renee and their daughters joined us as well. Great fun.
I posted a bunch of pictures on our photo gallery as well.

Amin scanned in a bunch of old pictures that were starting to fade away. This is the two of us in June 1976. I was the taller one in those days :-)

As many of you know, I am sick about the current administration. The lies are starting to catch up to them. Dick Cheny's Chief of Staff was indicted today. Check out this guy's bio on Wikipedia. Anyone surprised ?
I really hope that the Democrats can get organized and find some real leaders to step up. We have a real opportunity to win back Congress in mid-term.
Today, both girls had Halloween parties at their respective schools. Ellie dressed up as Raggady Ann and Sophia was "Stephanie" from the show LazyTown. Ellie had such a ball with Lauren at her school and then this evening we all went to Sophia's school for their annual "Halloween Monster Mash". It was a lot of fun & pretty spooky.
I also posted some new pictures from the parties and here is a short video of the girls pumpkin carving. Enjoy.
Lauren and I went to check out a speaker tonight organized by our town's PTO. The speaker was Daniel Kindlon, a Harvard professor, who lives in our town. His talk was based on his latest book: Too Much of a Good Thing : Raising Children of Character in an Indulgent Age".
I haven't read the book but I thought the talk was excellent and very helpful. It's funny, just when we start getting some confidence that we have the slightest clue how to do this ... we find out how much we still have to learn (and the road ahead).
This article is worth a read. Pretty scary stuff.
I'm having a lot of fun using del.icio.us. It's an online bookmarking system where you can organize your personal bookmarks as well as share them with others. I think it's great. Plus you can access all your bookmarks thru any browser. I'm just beginning to tag my favorite sites and started with some home videos of our kids. Check it out here.
After a crazy day at work, I came home and Sophia showed me what she made at school today. Warmed my heart. Translation: "I planted flowers with my Dad". Check out how she wrote it. I love this. I also posted this on our family photo album.
