Santo and I went over to see our friend Frank Moss at the MIT Media Lab today. Frank is the new director of the lab and they are doing amazing work there.
I have always been interested in robotics and their consumer applications. Early consumer robots like aibo and irobot were fun. I can't wait to see next generation robots that combine robotics with networking and the internet. Each robot will have an ip address and a corresponding url.
I'd love to find and invest in a great robotics company that will change the world.
The Media Lab has a project called "the Huggable: A Robotic Companion for Therapeudic Applications".
It was recently demonstrated at SIGGRAPH 2006 in Boston.
It's incredible.
